Postgres On-Cloud Migration

Our business required a significant change: migrating five PostgreSQL databases from on-premise servers to Azure cloud. This medium-complexity project involved PostgreSQL versions 14.11 and 14.6, with data sizes reaching up to 4 GB in our production environment. After evaluating several vendors, we selected Ispirer to handle the migration.

The project spanned three distinct environments - Development, Staging, and Production - over a total duration of 1.5 months. The work required meticulous planning, including a two-week preparation phase. As anticipated, the final downtime for the Production environment was minimal.

The Ispirer team demonstrated expertise while working on a single remote machine we provided, successfully delivering every aspect of the detailed migration plan. Their responsibilities extended beyond the migration itself to include thorough validation of the migrated data.

Following the successful migration, we continued our partnership with Ispirer for ongoing support of our PostgreSQL cluster. Over the past two months, their team has only needed to spend a few hours on analysis and issue resolution - a clear testament to the system's stability and the efficiency of their support.
