Comtron d.o.o. is one of the leading companies in the field of system integrations and business software in Slovenia. We develop and sell our proprietary ERP software for all areas of businesses, as well as perform system integration of servers, virtualization, storage, LAN and WAN communications.

We engaged Ispirer for the purpose of migrating a Microsoft SQL Server database to PostgreSQL using their software for automatic database migration, Ispirer Toolkit. The migration was successful on the third attempt, which is very encouraging. Within three months of software usage, our team managed to migrate a SQL Server database with 100 tables, 2GB of data, and approximately 126,000 lines of SQL code.

It is expected that there will be a number of small changes (manual corrections) prior to the production, as it is a large amount of code. Nevertheless, 90% of the work was completed by the migration tool itself. Ispirer Toolkit is well worth the investment and I would use it again in a similar case. I must commend the Ispirer team for their responsiveness, professionalism and willingness to help.
