We had a requirement to decommission an IBM AS400 for a customer and archive all the data to an Oracle Database.

For this one off exercise we sought an application that was simple to configure, flexible and time effective. After reviewing the alternatives we turned to the Ispirer MnMTK migration tool.

This enabled us to migrate in excess of 3,800 tables in 21 libraries across a Wide Area Network in 5 days.

As a new user of the Ispirer product we can confirm that its user interface is very logical and user friendly. The product was proven to be very resilient when faced with a network interruption where it was possible to recover the situation without having to re-perform the entire migration process.

All in all this was a pleasant experience and a tool to be recommended for any data migration.
