Embedded SQL and Database API Conversion

Delivering you exclusive solutions with the best customer care!

If you want your application to work with other databases, we are right here to help you!
Ispirer Toolkit automatically performs comprehensive conversion of embedded SQL statements and database APIs in different applications.

With Ispirer Toolkit there is no need extracting SQL statements from application code and convert them separately. The tool completes the whole migration process internally. We offer Ispirer Toolkit and Ispirer Service for the following programming languages: Delphi, PowerBuilder, COBOL, C/C++, Java, Shell, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, VB, ASP and others.
The conversion quality of static SQL statements significantly differs from the conversion quality of dynamic SQL. In the latter case, the level of automation may be insufficient. Therefore, we offer Ispirer Service.

Converting Database API

To work properly with some databases, C/C++ applications use their native APIs. Thus, converting SQL statements is not enough; the API needs to be replaced as well. We can migrate Pro*C, ECPG, ODBC, MySQL API, CT-LIB, ESQL/C, etc.

Moreover, Ispirer Toolkit can convert the interaction with databases in applications that use such API as ADO.NET and PRO*COBOL.

Accelerating our customers’ embedded SQL and database API migration journey.

The client is a U.S.-based nonprofit education organization that seeks to ensure equal rights for students in low-income groups throughout the United States. This was the second time a customer approached Ispirer.

Our client is an American broadcasting and cable company. The challenge was to convert the C application from Sybase ESQL API to PostgreSQL ECPG API, including embedded SQL. The total scope included almost 50,000 LOCs.

Our client is one of the top 3 market chains in the UK. Teradata was chosen as the target DW. HP and Teradata teamed up for the project, and HP asked Ispirer to add special rules into SQLWays for the Neoview to Teradata migration.

Our client is a non-profit organization, which works within the educational field, striving to ensure equal rights of students in low-income groups. They needed to migrate their database system from PostgreSQL to Oracle.
