'sqlplus' is not Recognized as an Internal or External Command, Operable Program or Batch File

Symptoms

During the import into Oracle when the objects or data are loaded one or both of the following messages arises: ”'sqlplus' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file” or ”'sqlldr' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file”.

Cause

The main cause of the problem is that the bin directory for the target Oracle is not specified in the Wizard.

Solution

Please specify the path to the BIN directory on the “Oracle Database Advanced Options” page. To find it please open SQLWays Wizard at “Choose a Target Database”, specify the “Target:” as Oracle and click the button “Advanced”. Please see the picture below for the example of the “BIN directory:” specification:
